Creamettes Macaroni Cheese Bake


7-oz. package macaroni
(2 cups dry)
1/2 cup butter
1 cup American or cheddar cheese (grated)
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. butter (for topping)


Cook Creamettes as directed on package. Drain macaroni. Melt butter over low heat and stir in flour to form a smooth paste. Add milk, stirring constantly. Add salt and pepper and cook until thickened. Place drained Creamettes in a greased bake dish and mix in sauce. Sprinkle with grated cheese and dot with two tablespoons of butter. Bake 20 to 25 minutes in 300 oven. If crust is desired, place in broiler for a few minutes or until brown.
